We like to think of Onyxen as our little gem, our hidden gem in the heart of Gothenburg.
Set in a townhouse from the early 1900s, each of our 31 rooms has been given its own character – inspired by the city, its history, its people and the moments that make Gothenburg unique.

We are not a chain. No outside investors. Just us – a family that owns and runs the hotel with heart.
We are here, we know what is happening in the house, and we care about both the details and the people who move through it. It is a difference you can feel – in the atmosphere, in the welcome and even in the way we say good morning.

Our star Viviann is responsible for our fantastic breakfast. She bakes the best seed crispbread and makes the most delightful granola, both of which you’ll find on our buffet – those who’ve tried them know exactly how delicious they are. Our breakfast is something extraordinary, and Viviann ensures that every morning starts off just as well for all our guests.

Our wonderful Anna and Nara in housekeeping always greet you with a smile when you encounter them at the hotel. They clean and prepare our rooms with a lot of heart and love. Anna and Nara are experts at creating that extra feeling of coming home when you step into your room.

Väldigt mysigt hotell. Vi bodde i ett rum som gick i gröna toner och det kändes mycket ombonat. Levande växter gjorde att det kändes extra mysigt. Frukosten bjöd på det man behövde och lite till, och den inglasade delen var trevlig och avkopplande att sitta i. Genomgående trevlig och serviceminded personal. Extra plus att det ingick spa på Hagabadet.

Can I book a massage or treatment during my stay?

Yes. Contact our reception and we will be happy to help you add a massage or treatment at Hagabadet. We recommend booking well in advance, especially for weekends and popular dates.

Is breakfast included when I stay at Onyxen?

Yes, our breakfast buffet is included when you stay with us. You will find both hot and cold options, along with coffee, tea, juice, fruit and vegetables.

What time are check-in and check-out?

Check-in is from 4:00 PM. Standard check-out is at 11:00 AM, while guests who book directly through our website enjoy check-out until 12:00 PM.

Can I park at the hotel?

Yes, we have a limited number of parking spaces directly by the hotel. We recommend booking your parking space in advance.
